Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Hughes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Derek Kane! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kane gets in close and instigates a clinch. Kane manages to pull guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Kane had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hughes defends it easily. Kane wants to stand but Hughes is controlling the position. Hughes working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Hughes content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Kane wants to stand but Hughes is controlling the position. Hughes preventing the sweep. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kane is on top in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kane advances to half guard. Hughes has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kane is working away from the top position though. Kane not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Kane is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kane is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Kane wants to pass the guard but Hughes is defending well. Hughes is looking to improve his position.
Kane thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hughes's head. Kane works his foot free and advances to mount. Hughes is trying to escape the mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kane looking to control and managing it successfully. Kane landing strikes, looking to finish! Kane avoids the attempt from Hughes to control. Hughes sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Kane moves into full mount! Hughes won't be happy about that! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kane is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Hughes can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Kane fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Kane lands a nice shot to the head. Hughes tries to reverse the position but Kane maintains control. Kane landing strikes from the mount and Hughes is in trouble! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kane takes Hughes's back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kane lands a shot to the body. Kane controlling well, preventing Hughes from escaping the position.
Kane working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Hughes defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Kane has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hughes rolls, trying to escape but Kane keeps control of the position.
Hughes grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Kane struggling to keep hold of the position.
Kane scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Hughes is looking for a way out. Hughes takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Hughes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kane on the ground. Hughes tries to escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kane lands shots from the back. Kane landing with strikes. Kane is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Hughes is defending well though. Kane let's go of the attempt for now. Kane is punishing Hughes with strikes - can he finish him?! Kane tries to get the hooks in deep but Hughes pushed the leg off. Hughes wants to escape the position.
Kane is looking for the choke from the back position but Hughes is controlling his hands well. Hughes tries to escape the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hughes is trying to remain composed but Kane is hammering down strikes to the side of his head. Kane is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Hughes up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Derek Kane dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kane shoots in looking for a takedown. Hughes tries to sprawl out of it but Kane keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hughes manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kane tries for a takedown but Hughes circles away easily and Hughes counters with a single leg into guard. Kane didn't expect that. Kane is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hughes defends well. Hughes trying to control the position from guard on top but Kane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kane looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Kane has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Hughes has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Kane wants to improve his position but instead Hughes has moved into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hughes trying to control from half guard but Kane is working away. Kane manages to get to full guard.
Kane is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hughes postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hughes wants to pass the guard but Kane is keeping the position. Derek Kane has got the better of the ground game so far. Kane is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hughes defends well. Kane escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hughes gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Hughes content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Hughes tries to free his leg and advance position but Kane is retaining full guard. Hughes wants to control from the top but Kane keeps moving. Hughes drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hughes jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Hughes slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Kane regains half guard. Kane looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Hughes is working for a submission of some sort.
Kane has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kane wants to control but Hughes is keeping busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hughes drops an elbow to the side of Kane's head. Hughes is working for a kimura but Kane is defending it quite comfortably.
Kane is not content to let Hughes control the position. Kane moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Hughes is sitting in close to Kane's body. Kane has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Hughes is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Hughes is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kane.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Derek Kane! A victorious Derek Kane thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
