Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Toshiro Montero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nichi Hong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Montero comes to the cage accompanied by Danzig - Mother . Hong has chosen Hong Entrance Song as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Toshiro Montero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nichi Hong!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Ivan Kurochkin and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hong throws a body punch but Montero moves out of range.
Montero misses with a left hand
and Hong counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Montero keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hong pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hong lands a slapping body shot.
Montero slips a jab from Hong.
Montero lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hong at a distance.

Hong lands a really nice looking cross but Montero seems unphased.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Montero lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hong has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hong and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Montero throws a lazy right hand but Hong sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Montero on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Nice defenses there by Montero.
Hong throws a jab but it's blocked by Montero.
Hong uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Montero.

Montero takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Hong swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Montero lands a jab to the head.
Montero lands a nice hook to Hong's body. Hong takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

and Montero counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Montero is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hong is aware though and is defending well.

Nichi Hong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Toshiro Montero will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

A punch lands to the side of Montero 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Toshiro Montero has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

I would just about give that final round to Nichi Hong.
I think Hong has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
