Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Lashley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Mica (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lashley comes to the cage accompanied by Dominator. The key to victory for Bobby Lashley has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Lashley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, John Mica!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mica throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lashley's waist but Lashley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mica off to one side.
Mica shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mica tries to keep at a distance but Lashley has taken the fight into the clinch.
Mica is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Bobby Lashley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Mica.
Lashley pulls guard.

Mica wants to free his trapped foot but Lashley is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lashley regains full guard. Nicely done.

Lashley wriggles free and stands up.
Mica closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lashley to the mat! Lashley manages to get full guard.
Mica stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lashley swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mica won't allow Lashley to get back to his feet.
Lashley wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Mica has gone for a leg lock! Lashley slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mica's guard.
Lashley has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mica is proving hard to escape from.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lashley wants to control from the top but Mica keeps moving.
Lashley wants to pass the guard but Mica is keeping the position.
Mica escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lashley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Mica looks gassed!
Mica is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Lashley gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Mica fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Lashley gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Lashley manages to break the clinch.
Mica decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Lashley wants to get back to his feet.
Mica is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Mica is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Lashley is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mica's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mica's back!

Lashley is trying to stick to Mica's back but Mica is turning into Lashley. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Lashley's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Mica.

Mica prevents Lashley from getting back to his feet.
Mica sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lashley's guard.

Mica passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Lashley!
Mica working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Lashley looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Mica! Submission of the night perhaps?
