Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eliott Stabler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corellis Mandolin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Corellis Mandolin enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eliott Stabler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Corellis Mandolin! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stabler drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Stabler with a flurry of punches that miss. Stabler pushes down on Mandolin's leg and manages to get into half guard. Mandolin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Stabler controlling the action here. Stabler is working for a kimura but Mandolin is defending it quite comfortably.
Stabler wants to control but Mandolin is keeping him busy. Stabler not landing any meaningful shots this time. Stabler working the head and body with strikes. Stabler throwing shots but Mandolin is blocking nicely. Stabler takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stabler scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Mandolin manages to get to full guard.
Stabler throws a big right hand that misses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mandolin keeping full guard, as Stabler tries to pass. Mandolin wants to stand up but Stabler is controlling him. Mandolin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Stabler scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Stabler looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Stabler gets to his feet. Mandolin looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stabler misses with a takedown attempt - Mandolin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Mandolin has managed to clinch.
Mandolin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stabler wants to clinch up but Mandolin keeps it at a distance. Stabler fails to land the takedown. Stabler is breathing heavily. Nice takedown defense from Mandolin. No joy for Stabler on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eliott Stabler. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mandolin misses the shot to the body. Mandolin forces Stabler back against the cage and clinches. Stabler taking a breather. Mandolin stops a takedown attempt from Stabler.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stabler has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mandolin after a bit of a struggle. Mandolin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Mandolin scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Stabler shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mandolin but Mandolin pushes him off and we're back to square one. Stabler takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Mandolin throws a chopping leg kick but Stabler manages to avoid taking any serious damage. A nice leg kick lands there from Mandolin. Mandolin pushes Stabler away with a front kick. Mandolin throws a sloppy head kick and Stabler moves out of range easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mandolin gets caught flat footed, as Stabler shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stabler stands up and waves to Mandolin to follow him. Stabler thows a left - swing and a miss! Eliott Stabler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mandolin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mandolin wants it to stay on the feet. Stabler closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mandolin circles away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stabler shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mandolin as he avoids it easily. Mandolin misses with a leg kick. Stabler fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mandolin to the ground. Stabler is now in Mandolin's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eliott Stabler dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Stabler closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Stabler is putting a hurting on Mandolin here, landing some big shots from side control. Stabler landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Stabler controls the position. Mandolin tries to improve position but can't. Stabler scoring with punches from side control. Stabler working the ground and pound but Mandolin is defending the strikes. Stabler working the ground and pound. Stabler lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Stabler in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Stabler stands up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stabler has a takedown stuffed.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stabler dives in for a single leg takedown but Mandolin sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Mandolin stops a takedown attempt from Stabler.

Stabler drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Eliott Stabler overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Stabler in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stabler tries to score with some ground and pound. Mandolin controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Mandolin tries to get back to half guard but can't. Stabler lands some shots froms side control. Mandolin takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Stabler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Mandolin takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Stabler is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Mandolin will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mandolin tries to escape but Stabler is in control. Stabler in side control lands a decent elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stabler cracks Mandolin with a big right hand but Mandolin just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Stabler just content to control the position. Stabler advances to full mount. Mandolin is in a horrible position here. Stabler smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Stabler raining down shots from the mount! Stabler sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Stabler cracks Mandolin with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Stabler cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Stabler controlling the pace for now. Stabler jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Mandolin manages to avoid the submission attempt. Stabler takes a little break here. Mandolin wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stabler scoring with punches from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stabler fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mandolin avoids it really well and circles away. Nice sprawl there from Mandolin as Stabler shoots in. Mandolin wants to slow Stabler down by chopping away at his legs. A nice leg kick lands there from Mandolin. Mandolin connects with a leg kick. Stabler looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Stabler takes a kick to the side of the head. Mandolin scores with a leg kick.
Mandolin dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Stabler. That did some damage! Mandolin fails with a takedown attempt. Stabler fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mandolin avoids it really well and circles away. Mandolin slaps away a takedown attempt from Stabler, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stabler closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Stabler lands in his opponent's guard. Mandolin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Mandolin looking for a sweep. Not yet Mandolin, not yet. Stabler makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stabler wants to pass the guard but Mandolin is keeping the position. Stabler works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stabler throwing shots but Mandolin is blocking nicely. Stabler passes to side control. Stabler tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Mandolin is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Stabler asserts his dominance and retains side control. Stabler scoring with punches and elbows. Mandolin prevents Stabler from moving into mount. Stabler looks up at the clock and then as Mandolin takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Stabler smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stabler swings around for an armbar but Mandolin sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Stabler's guard. Stabler wants to sweep here but Mandolin controlling him for the moment. Stabler on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Stabler tries to get out of the position. Stabler is pulling down on Mandolin's head. It's preventing any offense from Mandolin, at least for the moment. Mandolin stops Stabler from standing up. Mandolin stands and steps away. Stabler gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mandolin scores with a kick to the midsection. Stabler tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mandolin swivels and escapes. Corellis Mandolin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Eliott Stabler is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mandolin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Stabler.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Eliott Stabler. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Stabler, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
