The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bohannan works over Juana's head and body with a nice combination.
No luck for Juana with that takedown attempt.

Bohannan has closed the distance and engaged Juana in a clinch.
Bohannan is looking to break free of the clinch but Juana has double underhooks.
Juana wants a takedown.
Juana stalling.
Bohannan wants to break the clinch but can't.

Bohannan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Juana looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Bohannan slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Juana throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Juana has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bohannan.
Bohannan lands with a right hand.
Bohannan fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Juana instigates a clinch.
Bohannan is trying to force a seperation but Juana has the dominant position.
Bohannan looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Juana pulls guard.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Bohannan wants to stand and escape but instead Juana has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Juana trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bohannan preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Juana trying to control but Bohannan is working from the bottom.
Juana sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bohannan's guard.
Juana stops Bohannan from getting back to his feet.

Juana is looking for a kimura here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bohannan can do anything to dispel that myth.
Juana seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bohannan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Juana works his foot free and advances to mount.
Juana punching from mount but Bohannan doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Juana is landing with some decent strikes but Bohannan is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

It looks like Cullen Bohannan has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Juana with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Juana fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Juana lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That has opened up Cullen Bohannan's cut even more.
The referee warns Bohannan that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Juana is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Bohannan has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cullen Bohannan's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Cullen Bohannan's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
