The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Dostoevsky breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A slow jab from Adams misses its intended target. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dostoevsky . Adams lands with a right hand. The fight moves into the clinch position. Dostoevsky looking to stall.
Dostoevsky tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Adams just stands there and leans against the cage. Dostoevsky tries to score a body lock takedown but Adams shows good agility there to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fedor Dostoevsky . That's going to take a lot out of him. Adams escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dostoevsky feints and then cracks Adams's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Adams down. Adams drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dostoevsky struggling a bit here. Adams tries for a kimura but Dostoevsky is defending well. Adams is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dostoevsky knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dostoevsky moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Adams is sitting in close to Dostoevsky 's body. Dostoevsky has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Adams is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Adams is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Dostoevsky .
