Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Odell Craig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Pingleton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacob Pingleton will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Odell Craig!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacob Pingleton!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pingleton throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Craig was covering up waiting for the punch and Pingleton finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Craig could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Craig working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pingleton doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pingleton manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Pingleton wants to control from the top but Craig keeps moving.

Pingleton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Pingleton pushes down on Craig's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Craig wants to get back to his feet.

Craig gets full guard.

Craig scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Craig takes a swing at Pingleton's ribcage but misses.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Pingleton - that will leave a mark!

Craig gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Pingleton wants to control from the top but Craig keeps moving.
Pingleton is stalling in the full guard.
Pingleton must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Craig wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jacob Pingleton.
Pingleton throws a combination. Craig tries to block but a couple of punches get through.


It looks like Odell Craig has been cut.

Pingleton clinches.

Pingleton breaks the clinch.

Pingleton manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Craig on his heels. He'll look to pass Craig's guard now, I'm sure.

Pingleton trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Craig manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Craig has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Pingleton's face.
Pingleton is looking to get to half guard.
Craig postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Pingleton looks a forlorn figure.

Pingleton wants to hold on but Craig pushes him away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Craig lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pingleton can't escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pingleton gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Craig tries to get to full guard but Pingleton has control of the leg.
Pingleton wants to free his trapped foot but Craig is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Craig is trying to stand up here but Pingleton is controlling him well.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Pingleton. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Pingleton sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Craig is not content to let Pingleton control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Craig tries to kick Pingleton off but Pingleton keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Pingleton is looking to take a break and control but Craig is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Jacob Pingleton has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Pingleton keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Pingleton scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
You can see the frustration on Craig's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Pingleton prevents Craig from escaping the position.

Pingleton decides to stand up, so the ref orders Craig to his feet.

Pingleton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pingleton wants to control from the top but Craig keeps moving.

Pingleton avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jacob Pingleton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Odell Craig's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Pingleton swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Pingleton shoots in and gets a takedown into Craig's guard.

Craig has his foot on Pingleton's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pingleton works his way back into a safe position though.

Pingleton decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Craig, up you get!

Pingleton shoots in and bounces Craig off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Craig has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Pingleton off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Craig wants to stand and escape but Pingleton is having none of it.

Pingleton looking to sit in guard and control but Craig gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Craig working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Pingleton's head.
Craig is in close to Pingleton's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Pingleton looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Craig has picked Pingleton up and slammed him! Pingleton can't keep hold of the triangle and Craig manages to pass to side control!

Pingleton is working to avoid the ground and pound but Craig connects with a decent elbow.
Craig connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Pingleton some visible discomfort.

Craig decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Pingleton looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Pingleton moves out of range of the leg kick from Craig.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Craig.
Pingleton is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Craig is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pingleton tries to lock up and control but Craig gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Craig connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Pingleton tries to reverse the position but Craig maintains control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pingleton is trying to stand.
Odell Craig has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jacob Pingleton is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Craig is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Pingleton to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Pingleton shrugs it off.

And that's the end of the fight!
Odell Craig showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Pingleton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
