PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fernanda Limbo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Fella (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Big Fella told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Limbo blocks a jab.
Fella missing with a left hand there. Limbo was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Fella lands a high kick!
Fella throws a head kick but Limbo moves out of range.
Limbo definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Fella leaves Limbo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Limbo moves out of range of the strikes.
Fella steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Limbo.
Limbo moves in looking to clinch but Fella pushes him off.
Fella throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Fella scores with a kick to the midsection.
Big Fella seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Limbo slips a straight right by Fella.
Limbo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fella throws out the jab.
Limbo blocks a head kick by Fella.
Limbo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Fella.
Fella looks winded!
Fella throws a sloppy head kick

and Limbo counters with a takedown into side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Fella being controlled for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Limbo has hold of Fella's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Fella tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Limbo cranks the arm and Fella screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Fella, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
