Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Scott Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Carter might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to He. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter takes the fight into the clinch.
Carter prevents a takedown attempt there.
Thompson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Carter pulls his leg out and moves away.
Carter gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Thompson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Thompson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Carter looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Thompson passes into side control.
Thompson is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Carter is trying to escape and Thompson transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Carter is forced to tap! Nice work there by Thompson! Very nice indeed!
