Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Clive Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Hail (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dante Hail will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hail gets caught flat footed, as Simmons shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Simmons working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Hail keeping moving, preventing Simmons from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Simmons seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hail for as long as he can get away with.

and Hail finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Simmons changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hail tries to avoid it but Simmons manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hail to the ground. Hail escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hail tries to bum rush Simmons with a series of wild strikes but Simmons uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Simmons is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Simmons had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hail is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Simmons Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hail's back instead.
Hail is trying to stand back up.
Hail really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Simmons. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Dante Hail showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Simmons has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Hail is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Simmons yanks on the arm and Hail is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Simmons.
