Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Francisco! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Jeferson! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jeferson gets a double leg takedown into Francisco's guard. Jeferson has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Rage Fighting Fit Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Francisco looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jeferson works over Francisco with some ground and pound from guard. Francisco is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Francisco utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Francisco controls Jeferson momentarily but Jeferson frees himself. Jeferson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jeferson is in close to Francisco's body, working some short punches and elbows. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jeferson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Francisco works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Francisco working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jeferson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jeferson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jeferson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Francisco is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Jeferson wants to pass to mount but Francisco is defending the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Francisco gets back to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Francisco wants to sweep but Jeferson has passed to side control! Francisco sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Jeferson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Francisco is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jeferson lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jeferson passes easily into side control. Nice work. Well, if Francisco is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Jeferson doesn't defend quickly enough and Francisco has managed to lock this one up! Can Jeferson escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Francisco on a fantastic submission victory.
