PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ben Jammin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tito Desperado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ben Jammin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tito Desperado!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jammin looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Jammin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Desperado will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jammin prevents Desperado from getting back to his feet.
Jammin trying to control but Desperado is working from the bottom.
Jammin wants to pass the guard but Desperado is keeping the position.

Desperado is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jammin defends well.
Jammin stands and throws Desperado's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Jammin is looking to take a break and control but Desperado is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Jammin looks up at the clock and then as Desperado takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Jammin smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

You can see the frustration on Desperado's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Jammin tries to score with some ground and pound. Desperado controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Desperado wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Jammin.

Jammin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Desperado defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Jammin.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jammin is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Desperado can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Desperado is squirming around, avoiding Jammin's attempts to control the action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Desperado wants to control but Jammin is keeping busy.

Desperado is staying active underneath Jammin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Jammin seems to be working for a kimura but Desperado defends the submission attempt.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Desperado lands a nice short elbow.

Desperado decides to return to a standing position.

Jammin fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Desperado to the ground. Jammin is now in Desperado's guard.
Jammin is looking to work some ground and pound but Desperado has wrist control.

Desperado has his foot on Jammin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jammin works his way back into a safe position though.

Desperado pushes Jammin away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jammin gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
