The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Joaquin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. James tries to avoid it but Joaquin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag James to the ground. James escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Joaquin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as James sprawls well. James wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Joaquin gets slowly back to his feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Joaquin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
