The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adenhart steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lyoton.
A jab-cross combination lands for Lyoton and sends Adenhart crashing to the mat! Lyoton follows him down to the mat - Adenhart regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
It looks like Nick Adenhart has been cut.
Lyoton tries to stand and escape but Adenhart is controlling the position.
Adenhart striking from the bottom.
Adenhart tries to get to full guard but Lyoton has control of the leg.
Lyoton wants to take a breather but Adenhart is having none of it.
Adenhart is looking for a sweep. Lyoton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Lyoton seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Adenhart flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
The crowd cheers as Lyoton lands an impressive looking overhand right. Adenhart doesn't seem phased though.
Adenhart is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lyoton is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Adenhart flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Adenhart is out cold! Lyoton holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Machidan Lyoton!
