Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrisio Freire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mir comes to the cage accompanied by Amazing - Kanie West. Freire has chosen Linkin Park-Burn it Down as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, The Mir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Patrisio Freire! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mir rushes Freire and presses him up against the cage. Freire drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mir has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Freire clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Freire is really stuck here.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Mir not allowing Freire to control his hands. Freire showing good submission defense here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Freire looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Mir throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Freire trying to control the action but Mir just sinks the hooks in.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Will Mir go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Good control from Mir. Mir struggling to keep hold of the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mir controlling the position well here. Freire rolled but Mir kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
The ref stands the fighters back up because The Mir just wasn't active enough. Mir shoots in and bounces Freire off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Mir slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mir gets to his feet. Freire looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Mir drives through and clinches with Freire against the cage.
Freire looking to slow down the pace here. Mir pulls guard effortlessly. Freire looking to sit in guard and control but Mir gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Freire looking to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mir slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Freire is trying to keep Mir in close.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Patrisio Freire hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Freire wants to clinch but Mir slips to the side and Mir counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Freire looks to clinch and Mir counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Freire is lucky that one didn't land flush. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mir stuffs the takedown. Freire misses with a takedown attempt - Mir sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. The Mir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Patrisio Freire. Freire fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Freire misses with a takedown attempt and Mir holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Mir gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Mir stops Freire from standing up. Freire looks winded! Freire wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Mir manages to pass to side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
The Mir dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Mir has closed the distance and engaged Freire in a clinch.
Mir keeps control of Freire as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Freire is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Mir landing knees to the body.
Mir looking to throw knees to the head but Freire is blocking nicely.
Freire is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Mir is defending well. Mir escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Freire shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mir defends it nicely. The Mir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Patrisio Freire. Excellent takedown into side control there by Mir. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mir lands a few punches from side control. Freire can't do much from the bottom here. Freire is breathing heavily. Freire trying to remain calm as Mir controls from the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mir stands up and beckons Freire to his feet. Mir pushes Freire up against the cage in a clinch. Mir breaks from the clinch.
Freire shoots in for a double leg but Mir sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Mir has closed the distance and engaged Freire in a clinch.
Mir jumps guard.
Freire stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mir swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mir working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Freire doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Freire manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Mir keeping moving, preventing Freire from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Freire is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Patrisio Freire hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Mir gets in close and instigates a clinch. Freire is trying to drag Mir to the mat but Mir just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mir lands an elbow that stopped Freire in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Patrisio Freire has been cut. Mir digs a right hand underneath Freire's ribcage. Freire let out a lung full of air as it connected. Mir breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Freire closes the distance but Mir moves to the side and Mir counters with a good low kick that Freire was not able to check.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mir decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Freire is staying active underneath Mir, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Mir wants to work for an arm triangle but Freire is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Freire manages to get to full guard.
Mir makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Mir stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Freire swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mir postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mir decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Freire, up you get! Freire blocks a head kick by Mir.
Freire shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mir pinned against the cage. Mir gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Mir has Freire up against the cage in a clinch.
Freire is trying to push Mir away but Mir has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mir prevents a takedown attempt there.
Mir is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Freire can't fight it off and eventually Mir manages to take the fight to the floor. Freire looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mir looking to sit in guard and control but Freire gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
The Mir dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Patrisio Freire's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Mir shoots for a double leg takedown but Freire sprawls well. He's pushed Mir's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Freire wants to clinch up but Mir keeps it at a distance. Freire throws a right hand that Mir ducks under and follows up with a left that Mir also avoids with ease. Mir closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Freire quickly recovers to half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Freire manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Freire is working an open guard so Mir takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Mir moves into the clinch successfully.
Mir pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Mir takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Freire shoots for a takedown but Mir saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Freire with a poor takedown and Mir counters into the clinch. Nicely done. This has been an exciting period of action! A short body shot lands from Mir as the two fighters clinch.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mir prevents the takedown attempt.
The Mir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Patrisio Freire.

Freire looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Mir puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Mir is looking to take a break and control but Freire is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Freire trying to hold on to Mir's head to control him but Mir postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mir is keen to just control but Freire is a slippery customer. Freire wants to control but Mir is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The ref stands the fighters back up. The Mir wasn't doing enough on the ground. Mir tries a head kick but it misses.
Freire closes the distance looking to clinch and Mir holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Freire wants to take the fight to the mat but Mir manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Mir creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Freire's defenses. Mir gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Freire.

Freire tries to clinch but Mir is having none of it. Freire misses with a takedown and Mir counters with a right hand to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mir closes the distance and clinches. Mir pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Freire misses with a jab, cross combination.

Mir lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Mir pulls Freire into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action! Freire trying to control the position from guard on top but Mir is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Freire pushes down on Mir's leg and manages to get into half guard. Freire is trying to control the action in half guard but Mir is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Patrisio Freire has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The Mir is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Freire seems to be looking for submissions.
And that's the end of the fight! The Mir showed his dominance in that final round. Well Mir has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The Mir wins by unanimous decision! After the fight, The Mir was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
