Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cristobal Arebola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacob Smith has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cristobal Arebola!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jacob Smith!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Saam Ante and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith pushes Arebola up against the cage in a clinch.
Arebola can't break the clinch.
Arebola wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Smith goes for a takedown attempt but Arebola pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Smith dives in for a single leg takedown but Arebola sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Smith gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Smith controls from within his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Smith seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Arebola controls Smith momentarily but Smith frees himself.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Let's hope that Smith has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Smith throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Arebola's waist but Arebola gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smith off to one side.

Smith tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Arebola defends well and Smith ends up having to push Arebola into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Smith accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smith tries to free his leg and advance position but Arebola is retaining full guard.
Smith is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Jacob Smith hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
The fighters circling - Arebola throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Smith closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Arebola's guard.

Well Smith has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
