Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Piotr Hallmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shamsudin Khulagov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Piotr Hallmann! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shamsudin Khulagov! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hallmann throws a combination that misses and Khulagov counters with a stiff right hand. Hallmann rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Khulagov moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hallmann misses with a two punch combination.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Khulagov has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Hallmann lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Khulagov backs up against the cage.
It looks like Shamsudin Khulagov has been cut. Hallmann tries to bum rush Khulagov with a series of wild strikes but Khulagov uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Hallmann throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Piotr Hallmann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hallmann throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Khulagov moves into the clinch. Khulagov jumps guard but Hallmann turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Khulagov tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hallmann just stands there and leans against the cage. I was talking to Hallmann's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Hallmann tries to break free but Khulagov pushes him back against the cage. Khulagov pulls guard successfully.
Hallmann is fighting to break Khulagov's control of his arms but Khulagov is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Hallmann knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Khulagov on the ground.

Hallmann wants to pass the guard but Khulagov is keeping the position. Khulagov looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Khulagov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hallmann doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hallmann manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hallmann has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Khulagov keeping moving, preventing Hallmann from controlling successfully.

Hallmann lands a couple of digs. Khulagov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hallmann gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Hallmann working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Khulagov's head. Hallmann trying to control but Khulagov is working from the bottom. Hallmann throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Hallmann postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hallmann pulls Khulagov in close to his closed guard and prevents Khulagov from doing any damage or advancing position. Hallmann is trying to keep Khulagov in close.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Khulagov being controlled here momentarily. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Khulagov drops back looking for a leg! Hallmann is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hallmann manages to kick Khulagov off! Khulagov jumps back into Hallmann's guard. Khulagov stands and throws Hallmann's legs to the side, diving into side control. Hallmann on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hallmann tries to get out of the position. Khulagov tries for a kimura but Hallmann is defending well. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hallmann struggling a bit here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Khulagov is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Hallmann is trying to escape and Khulagov transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Hallmann is forced to tap! Nice work there by Khulagov! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Shamsudin Khulagov! A relieved looking Shamsudin Khulagov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
