Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Travis Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derran Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Garcia comes to the cage accompanied by What You Gonna Do. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Travis Garcia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Derran Jackson! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Garcia defends well and Jackson ends up having to push Garcia into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Jackson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nice straight punches there by Garcia. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Garcia. Garcia throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Garcia lands with a nice combination. Jackson backs away looking to recover. Garcia throws a series of punches but Jackson avoids them all with ease. Garcia misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Garcia throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jackson. Garcia throws a left and a right that both miss
and Jackson counters by moving into the clinch. Garcia wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Garcia's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Garcia moves into range and connects with a jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A punch combination from Garcia misses. Garcia throws a series of punches but Jackson avoids them all with ease. Garcia misses with a straight right. Jackson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Jackson tries to clinch but Garcia is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garcia digs a good hook to Jackson's body.
Garcia moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Jackson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Travis Garcia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Derran Jackson. Garcia throws a series of punches but Jackson moves out of range. Garcia rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jackson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Garcia is breathing heavily. Jackson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Garcia gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Garcia is trying to force a seperation but Jackson has the dominant position. Jackson gets control of Garcia's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jackson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Jackson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Garcia defends it easily. Jackson has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Garcia has passed into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson tries to get back to half guard but can't. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Garcia wants to stand but Jackson has his arm trapped.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson wants to control but Garcia postures up. Jackson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Jackson preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Derran Jackson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Jackson shoots in but no luck this time. Garcia misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jackson is looking to clinch but Garcia is avoiding it.
Jackson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Garcia knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jackson on the ground. Jackson is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Garcia is trying to escape and Jackson transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Garcia is forced to tap! Nice work there by Jackson! Very nice indeed!
