Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phil Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Harper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griffin kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Dr. FeelGood. Patrick Harper has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Phil Griffin's chin.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Harper's guard.
Harper looking for a sweep. Not yet Harper, not yet.
Griffin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Harper is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Harper preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Harper is trying to keep Griffin in close.
Griffin trying to control the position from guard on top but Harper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Griffin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Griffin works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Griffin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Harper keeps working.
The fighters are battling for position here. Harper manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Griffin looking to sit in guard and control but Harper gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Harper tries to free his leg and advance position but Griffin is retaining full guard.
Griffin is looking to stand up but Harper isn't so interested in that idea.
Harper throws a strike but Griffin rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Harper can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Griffin controls the pace.
Griffin is sitting in close to Harper's body. Harper has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Griffin is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Griffin is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Harper.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Patrick Harper!
