Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dannie Fuentes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Blue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ray Blue looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dannie Fuentes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ray Blue!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Blue. Those never looked like landing.
Blue looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Fuentes throws a sloppy head kick and Blue moves out of range easily.

Blue closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fuentes to the mat! Fuentes manages to get full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Fuentes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Blue doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Blue manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Fuentes is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Fuentes wants to stand up but Blue is controlling the position.

Fuentes looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Fuentes is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Blue doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Fuentes.

Fuentes is looking for a kimura but Blue is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fuentes to get the leverage.
Blue is looking for a sweep. Fuentes is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Blue is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Fuentes pulls his head out easily.

Fuentes is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Blue has managed to free his arm - good work.
Fuentes wants to stand but Blue has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Fuentes looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Blue with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Fuentes is standing up over Blue. Blue looks to escape but Fuentes dives into side control.
Fuentes gets to mount! Blue was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Fuentes has hold of Blue's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Blue manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Fuentes counters with a three punch combo that has Blue backing up. Blue nods at Fuentes to acknowledge the strikes.

Fuentes manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Fuentes is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Blue frees his head nicely. Oh but Fuentes has switched to an armbar! Blue is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
