Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nate Kart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken McCorronas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Nate Kart has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Nate Kart seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nate Kart! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ken McCorronas! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kart shoots in looking for a takedown but McCorronas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kart's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. McCorronas looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Kart fails with the takedown. McCorronas swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kart counters with a nice kick to the body. McCorronas forces Kart back against the cage and clinches. Kart has McCorronas pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kart pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending McCorronas tumbling to the mat - Kart dives into McCorronas's guard. Kart trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kart trying to control but McCorronas is working from the bottom. Kart sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kart trying to control but McCorronas is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Nate Kart just wasn't active enough. McCorronas takes the fight into the clinch. We've been hearing reports that Kart has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. McCorronas misses with an elbow strike.
McCorronas tries to stall but Kart uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Kart avoids a wild elbow strike from McCorronas. Kart looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. A battle for position here, against the cage. Kart jumps guard but McCorronas turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nate Kart. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kart working hard to break the clinch. McCorronas is looking to control Kart's arms but Kart gets an underhook and turns him. Now McCorronas has his back to the cage. Kart blocks the elbow strike.

McCorronas taking a breather. McCorronas receives a warning from the referee for stalling. Kart is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but McCorronas is defending well. McCorronas throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as McCorronas takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. McCorronas is pressed up against the cage. Kart has hold of a leg and is looking to drag McCorronas down to the mat. McCorronas avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fight moves into the clinch position. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Kart has had enough of the clinch but McCorronas keeps him there for the moment. McCorronas looking to slow down the pace here. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Ken McCorronas. Kart shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McCorronas sprawls well. McCorronas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kart gets slowly back to his feet. Kart rushes McCorronas and presses him up against the cage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kart. McCorronas lands an elbow inside that Kart shrugs off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McCorronas stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
McCorronas trying to control the position but instead, Kart has worked for underhooks and has pushed McCorronas into the cage. Kart has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. McCorronas avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. McCorronas slows down the pace here.
Kart is looking for a takedown up against the cage. McCorronas gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The referee is keeping an eye on McCorronas - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Kart is trying to drag McCorronas to the mat but McCorronas just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ken McCorronas will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
McCorronas misses with a takedown attempt - Kart sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. McCorronas closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. McCorronas taking a breather. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Ken McCorronas. Kart pulls out of a head kick attempt.
We've been informed that McCorronas has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Kart misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kart looks for a takedown but McCorronas sprawls well. McCorronas clinches. Kart is trying to break the clinch but McCorronas is controlling him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. McCorronas drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kart is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nate Kart. That's going to take a lot out of him. McCorronas is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Kart looking to stall.

Kart is looking to take this one to the mat. McCorronas controlling the action here for a moment.
McCorronas is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Kart is keeping busy. Ken McCorronas seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

McCorronas looking to control the position here, rather than advance. McCorronas pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kart is keeping the position for now. Kart throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. McCorronas slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. McCorronas sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kart's guard. McCorronas prevents Kart from improving his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McCorronas postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Kart to stand up. McCorronas gets a clinch. Kart jumps guard but McCorronas stands there with Kart around his waist. Kart gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

A short right hand to the side of the head by McCorronas. McCorronas lands with a right to the head. McCorronas is looking to control Kart's arms but Kart gets an underhook and turns him. Now McCorronas has his back to the cage. McCorronas gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kart.
McCorronas has clasped his hands together around Kart's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McCorronas in side control, just content to control the action for now. Kart is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, McCorronas asserts his dominance and retains side control. Kart is trying to get back to half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kart is looking to get back to his feet here but McCorronas is keeping cool and he's managed to take Kart's back. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. McCorronas biding his time, controlling Kart. Kart turns into McCorronas and is now in his guard.

Ken McCorronas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Kart's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
McCorronas fails with the takedown. Ken McCorronas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kart tries for a takedown but McCorronas sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Nate Kart is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. McCorronas fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kart, pushing him back against the cage. Kart tries to circle away but McCorronas has him pinned against the cage. A battle for position here, against the cage. Kart tightens his grip and picks McCorronas up, before dumping him to the ground. McCorronas manages to land in guard. Kart tries to free his leg and advance position but McCorronas is retaining full guard. Kart controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Both fighters are breathing heavily. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. McCorronas looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. McCorronas keeping full guard, as Kart tries to pass. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kart accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kart wants to pass the guard but McCorronas is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
We're going to have a standup here because Nate Kart wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. McCorronas has taken the fight to the clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Kart jumps guard but McCorronas turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. McCorronas with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

McCorronas swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Nate Kart has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kart swings wildly with an uppercut but McCorronas uses good head movement to avoid it.
And that's the end of the fight! Ken McCorronas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got McCorronas winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
