Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dustin Hennings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett Ing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hennings comes into the arena with Braveheart Theme blaring out of the sound system. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dustin Hennings! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brett Ing! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ing avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hennings walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Ing throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hennings stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Ing lands with an overhand left. Ing lands a jab to the nose. Ing lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hennings circles away quickly and effectively. Ing stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ing wants it to stay on the feet. A punch combination from Ing misses. Ing lands with a shot to the body. Ing fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hennings on the side of the head. Hennings scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. This has been an exciting period of action! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Ing tries to get to full guard but Hennings has control of the leg. Ing is staying active underneath Hennings, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Ing is trying to break the clinch but Hennings has him pressed against the cage. Ing wants to get back to striking at distance but Hennings won't allow it.

Ing has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hennings is landing a low percentage of strikes. Ing moves out of range of the leg kick from Hennings. Ing throws a one two combo.

We've been hearing reports that Hennings has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Brett Ing seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ing rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hennings moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hennings tries to clinch but Ing moves out of range. Hennings shoots in but Ing avoids the takedown attempt easily. Ing keeps the fight on the outside. Ing throws a combination that misses and Ing takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. This has been an exciting period of action! Ing lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ing scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Ing lands a jab-cross combination. Hennings doesn't manage to clinch there - Ing circles away.
Ing leaves Hennings with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Ing lands a nice shot that snaps Hennings's head back.
Ing ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Ing throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hennings on the side of the head. A right-left combo lands from Ing. Ing clobbers Hennings with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Ing lands with a nice combination. Hennings backs away looking to recover.
Hennings is rocked! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ing cracks Hennings with an open hand slap. Oh Hennings is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hennings throws a head kick that Ing semi-blocks.
Hennings seems to have got his legs back now.

and Hennings counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ing won't be happy with that. Ing is still in real trouble! Can Hennings finish him? Hennings stands up and beckons Ing to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ing scores with a one two! Hennings had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Ing seems to have recovered his senses. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ing wants it to stay on the feet. Ing lands a really nice looking cross but Hennings seems unphased.
Hennings looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Hennings has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Hennings drops Ing with a left right combo! Hennings can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ing is looking to escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hennings trying to control but he's not successful this time. Hennings wants to finish this one by submission but Ing is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Hennings. Dustin Hennings overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Hennings takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Ing will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ing lands a glancing blow to the side of Hennings's head. Hennings tries to move into range but Ing moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Brett Ing is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hennings misses with a takedown attempt - Ing sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
