Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dudley Fysecks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Swanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matt Swanson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dudley Fysecks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matt Swanson! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swanson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fysecks is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Swanson. Swanson is looking to clinch but Fysecks is avoiding it.
Swanson throws a lazy head kick and Fysecks counters by clinching up. Swanson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Fysecks.
Stalling in the clinch from Fysecks.
Fysecks's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Swanson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fysecks circles away. Fysecks blocks the body kick.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Fysecks breaks from the clinch.
Swanson moves in looking to clinch but Fysecks pushes him off. Swanson moves to clinch but Fysecks breaks away and Fysecks counters with an inside leg kick. Fysecks tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Swanson throws a head kick but Fysecks moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fysecks gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Fysecks pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A head kick misses from Swanson. Swanson throws a lazy head kick and Fysecks cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Fysecks looks to land a combination but Swanson avoids it well. Fysecks has managed to clinch.
Fysecks lands a nice shot to the body. Fysecks breaks from the clinch.
Fysecks looks for a takedown but Swanson sprawls well. A head kick by Swanson misses and Fysecks counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Fysecks crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Swanson - the referee stops the clock and Fysecks gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Swanson. Fysecks manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Matt Swanson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Swanson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Fysecks.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Fysecks stands and steps away. Swanson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Fysecks closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Fysecks lands in his opponent's guard. Fysecks stands up from Swanson's guard - Fysecks perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Swanson wants to clinch and Fysecks counters by clinching up. A head punch blocked on the inside by Fysecks. Swanson throws a head punch that misses. Fysecks lands a good knee to the midsection. Swanson won't want to take too many of those. Fysecks is working Swanson over against the cage. Fysecks breaks the clinch.

Fysecks is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Swanson presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Swanson tries to break free but Fysecks pushes him back against the cage. Fysecks breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Swanson tries to close the distance and clinch but Fysecks swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A head kick by Swanson misses and Fysecks counters with an inside leg kick. Fysecks takes a kick to the side of the head. Fysecks pushes Swanson up against the cage in a clinch. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Swanson being controlled against the cage. Fysecks gets a warning from the ref for wasting time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dudley Fysecks dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Swanson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Fysecks moves into range and clinches up with Swanson. Fysecks has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Swanson after a bit of a struggle. Nice elbow from Fysecks. Fysecks manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Fysecks working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Swanson. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Swanson throws an elbow that misses. Fysecks uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Swanson's guard. Nice move by Fysecks! Fysecks decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fysecks shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Fysecks darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Fysecks is controlling the pace.
Fysecks moves into full mount! Swanson won't be happy about that!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fysecks controlling from mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fysecks throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Dudley Fysecks overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Fysecks looking to control and managing it successfully. Fysecks punching from mount but Swanson doing a good job of avoiding damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Fysecks controlling his opponent. Fysecks is working for a guillotine from mount but Swanson frees his head quite easily.
Fysecks content just to control the position here. Fysecks seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Swanson for as long as he can get away with. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fysecks fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Swanson, pushing him back against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fysecks keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Swanson's efforts to push away. Swanson can't break the clinch.
