Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eli Bernstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Furijima Donatello (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Donatello has chosen Led Zeppelin - Achilles Last Stand as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eli Bernstein! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Furijima Donatello! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bernstein lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Donatello goes for a double leg but Bernstein avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bernstein continues to drive forward. Donatello misses with a punch on the inside.
Donatello has Bernstein pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bernstein manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Bernstein missing with knees to the body.
Donatello is trying to break the clinch but Bernstein has him pressed against the cage. Bernstein with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Bernstein can't find room to land a body shot as Donatello controls the action.
Bernstein is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Donatello looks winded! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bernstein using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Donatello has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bernstein struggles to land a body shot inside as Donatello controls his hands.

Bernstein throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Donatello blocks it with crossed arms. Bernstein tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Bernstein connects with a nasty looking knee right to Donatello's face.
It looks like Furijima Donatello has been cut. Bernstein lands an elbow just above Donatello 's eye. Bernstein missing with knees to the body.

Bernstein manages to break the clinch.
Donatello shoots for a double leg takedown but Bernstein sprawls well. He's pushed Donatello's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Eli Bernstein has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Furijima Donatello.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Some wild striking there from Bernstein.
Bernstein throws a series of punches but Donatello avoids them all with ease. A big right from Bernstein misses. Donatello shoots in but Bernstein avoids the takedown attempt easily. Bernstein tries a head kick but it misses.
Donatello shoots and misses and Bernstein counters with a nice leg kick. Bernstein throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Donatello throws a body punch but Bernstein moves out of range. We've been told by Bernstein's head coaches at Lock and Roll Grappling Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Donatello takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Donatello takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Donatello takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Bernstein ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Donatello moves away. Bernstein connects with a leg kick. Donatello looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Bernstein scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bernstein throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Donatello takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A decent looking cross lands there for Bernstein.
That has opened up Furijima Donatello's cut even more. This has been an exciting period of action! Bernstein lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Donatello crumples to the floor! Bernstein milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Eli Bernstein! Eli Bernstein decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
