0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Anderson! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burton looks for the body kick but Anderson saw that one coming. Anderson ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Burton shoots in and drives through. Anderson sprawls well. Anderson has a takedown stuffed. Burton avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Burton misses with a takedown attempt - Anderson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Anderson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Burton as he avoids it easily. Burton is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Burton looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Anderson. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Burton goes for a double leg but Anderson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Anderson continues to drive forward. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Anderson rushes Burton and presses him up against the cage. Anderson wants to break the clinch but can't.

Anderson is trying to drag Burton to the mat but Burton just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Anderson tries to pull guard but Burton forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Anderson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. A nice right hand lands inside from Anderson. Anderson is pressed up against the cage. Burton has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Anderson down to the mat. Anderson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Anderson shoots for a double leg takedown but Burton sprawls well. He's pushed Anderson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Anderson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

John Anderson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Anderson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Burton tries to avoid it but Anderson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Burton to the ground. Burton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Anderson darts in trying to clinch and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Anderson slaps away a takedown attempt from Burton, before circling back to the center of the mat. Burton leaves Anderson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Anderson gets tackled into the cage by Burton. Burton maintains the clinch. Anderson trying to stall but Burton improves his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Anderson is looking to take a break and control but Burton is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Burton pushes Anderson off looking to stand but Anderson dives back in and keeps control.
Anderson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Burton sees it coming and defends easily. Burton is looking for a sweep. Anderson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. John Anderson has got the better of the ground game so far. Anderson throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Burton to regain full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson wants to control from the top but Burton keeps moving. Anderson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Burton dives on top into guard. Anderson controlling Burton's posture. Anderson wants to stand but Burton is controlling the position. Burton stands and steps away. Anderson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's four minutes gone in the round. No joy there for Anderson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Anderson tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Burton counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Burton. Burton breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Anderson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Heriberto Burton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Anderson. Burton darts in and clinches Anderson up against the cage. Burton jumps into guard, dragging Anderson to the mat.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Burton wants to stand and escape but Anderson is having none of it. Heriberto Burton has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! John Anderson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Burton has control of Anderson's left arm, preventing Anderson from doing any damage.
