PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Kabashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kesigan Hendricks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kabashi might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Its my time. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ron Kabashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kesigan Hendricks!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Mauricio Rocha and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendricks closes the distance and clinches up with Kabashi, looking for a takedown. Hendricks pushes Kabashi against the cage but Kabashi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kabashi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hendricks changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kabashi tries to avoid it but Hendricks manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kabashi to the ground. Kabashi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ron Kabashi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kesigan Hendricks.
Kabashi shoots in for a double leg but Hendricks sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hendricks shoots in but no luck this time.
Nice takedown defense from Hendricks. No joy for Kabashi on that attempt.

Hendricks dives in and scores a takedown into Kabashi's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Hendricks working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kabashi's head.
Kabashi has momentary wrist control but Hendricks slips an elbow through the middle.
Hendricks is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kabashi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hendricks can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hendricks throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kabashi works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kabashi is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hendricks connects with a couple of short punches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hendricks throwing strikes from guard but Kabashi blocks nicely.
Hendricks stands up over Kabashi, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Hendricks content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hendricks postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Hendricks with a nice head shot there.
Hendricks scoring with some ground and pound.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kabashi is rocked!
Hendricks gets to his feet and stands over Kabashi, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Kabashi felt that one! Hendricks unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Kabashi from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kesigan Hendricks!
