Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maximo Katakutan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erwin Tulfo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Erwin Tulfo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Tulfo has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Katakutan crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Tulfo - the referee stops the clock and Katakutan gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Tulfo. Katakutan manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
