Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mookie Hamfist! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, George Pierre Hennard! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hamfist swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hamfist looking to score a takedown here. Hennard is defending well but Hamfist drives through and ends up in Hennard's guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Hamfist landing with the ground and pound. Hamfist avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hamfist thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Hamfist wants to pass the guard but Hennard is keeping the position. We've been hearing good reports from Hamfist's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Hennard throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hennard can't keep his opponent in guard - Hamfist advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Hamfist is looking to stall here but Hennard recovers full guard. Hennard utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Hennard throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hamfist throws a strike but Hennard rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Hennard must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Hamfist is trying to control the position but Hennard postures up. Hennard seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Hennard won't allow Hamfist to sweep him here. Hennard drops back looking for a leg! Hamfist is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hamfist manages to kick Hennard off! Hennard jumps back into Hamfist's guard. Hennard avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hamfist keeping moving, preventing Hennard from controlling successfully. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hamfist is on top in guard.
Hennard working for submissions but it's allowed Hamfist to get to half guard.
Hamfist is working for a kimura but Hennard is defending it quite comfortably.
Hennard has a hand on Hamfist's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Hamfist takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hamfist has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hennard's face.
Hamfist is in the full mount, landing strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hamfist is in the full mount, landing strikes. Hamfist in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Hennard tries to reverse the position but Hamfist maintains control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hamfist putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Hamfist sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Hamfist in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mookie Hamfist dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Hamfist shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hennard sprawls well. Hennard wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hamfist gets slowly back to his feet. Hennard showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hamfist.
Hennard closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hamfist to the mat! Hamfist manages to get full guard. Hennard advances to half guard. Hennard is working for a kimura but Hamfist is defending it quite comfortably.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hamfist is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hennard is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Hamfist has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Hennard is looking to defend but Hamfist has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Hennard! Hamfist pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Hennard taps out and this one is all over!
