Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Olumide Akomolede (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy McCranky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jimmy McCranky has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Olumide Akomolede! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy McCranky! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Akomolede wants to clinch up but McCranky keeps it at a distance. Akomolede tries to clinch up. McCranky closes the distance and clinches. McCranky fails to pull guard.
Akomolede is trying to stall.
Akomolede really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. McCranky breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Akomolede clinches but McCranky breaks the clinch and McCranky counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Akomolede's guard now. McCranky trying to control the position from guard on top but Akomolede is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McCranky is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Akomolede looking to sweep here. No luck so far. McCranky stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Akomolede swivels though and keeps the full guard. Akomolede keeping moving, preventing McCranky from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. McCranky slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Akomolede keeping full guard, as McCranky tries to pass. Akomolede is trying to keep McCranky in close.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. McCranky pushes Akomolede up against the cage in a clinch. McCranky prevents Akomolede from breaking the clinch. Akomolede tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. McCranky just stands there and leans against the cage. McCranky tries to break the clinch but Akomolede is controlling the position. Akomolede effectively controlling the action here. McCranky manages to break the clinch.
McCranky misses with a two punch combination.
McCranky scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. McCranky passes to full mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. McCranky thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. McCranky jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Akomolede manages to avoid the submission attempt. McCranky working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy McCranky dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Akomolede closes the distance looking to clinch and McCranky counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Akomolede fails to land with a series of punches.
McCranky misses with a combination
and Akomolede counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps McCranky thinking. Akomolede stuffs the takedown. McCranky rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Akomolede moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A shot to the body from Akomolede misses and McCranky decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Akomolede's guard. Akomolede wants to get back to his feet but McCranky is in a dominant position and won't allow it. McCranky trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. McCranky stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Akomolede swivels though and keeps the full guard. McCranky is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Akomolede keeping moving, preventing McCranky from controlling successfully. McCranky content to stall in guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that McCranky has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. McCranky postures up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. McCranky stands and throws Akomolede's legs to the side, diving into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy McCranky showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

McCranky throws a series of punches but Akomolede avoids them all with ease. McCranky misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Akomolede counters with a two punch combo. McCranky takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Akomolede throws a sloppy body shot
and McCranky counters into the clinch. Nicely done. McCranky turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! McCranky wants to control but Akomolede is keeping him busy. McCranky working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. McCranky staying calm.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. McCranky passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Akomolede!
That's three minutes gone in the round. McCranky tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Akomolede has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Akomolede showing good submission defense here.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - McCranky's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
And that's the end of the fight! Jimmy McCranky comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got McCranky winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
