Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Benjamin Hopkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Benjamin Hopkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fred Patterson!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopkins has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hopkins has a couple of punches blocked by Patterson.
Patterson decides to pull guard.
Hopkins looking to pass the guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hopkins wanted to stand there but Patterson had control of the position.
Patterson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Patterson stops Hopkins from getting back to his feet.
Hopkins won't allow Patterson to pass to mount.
Patterson seems to be working for a kimura but Hopkins defends the submission attempt.
Patterson passes to side control.
Hopkins is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Patterson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Patterson is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Hopkins is trying to escape and Patterson transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Hopkins is forced to tap! Nice work there by Patterson! Very nice indeed!
