Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Marcus Brandao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Thadani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Brandao might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army. Marcus Brandao could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tom Thadani's chin.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandao throws a series of strikes that have Thadani backpedaling.
It looks like Tom Thadani has been cut.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Thadani.
Brandao fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thadani manages to avoid it.

Brandao pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Thadani avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Thadani takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Thadani has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

That was a close round but I would say that Marcus Brandao will probably get the nod.

No joy there for Brandao, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Thadani scores with a head kick. Brandao tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Thadani and Brandao are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Thadani throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Brandao into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Thadani knows it - he's on the ropes flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Tom Thadani is the new super heavyweight champion!
Tom Thadani decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
The defeated Marcus Brandao had this to say: 'That's it, I'm done.'.
