Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Kuiper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jon Jones has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jon Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sam Kuiper! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones doesn't manage to clinch there - Kuiper circles away.
Kuiper swings for the body but Jones moves out of range.
We've been informed that Kuiper has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Kuiper loads up on a big right hand but Jones slips the punch. Kuiper throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jones moves out of range of the body kick from Kuiper.
Jon Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kuiper can pounce on him.
Jones checks the leg kick. Jones throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Jones connects with a crisp jab. Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kuiper swings away with a leg kick that misses. Kuiper rushes Jones and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Kuiper wants to break free but Jones has control.
Kuiper tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Jones avoids it. Jones works on Kuiper's body with a couple of short punches. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kuiper's efforts to push away. Jones throws a knee to the head but misses.

It looks like Sam Kuiper has been cut. Jones blocking some punches.
Jones connects with a nasty looking knee right to Kuiper's face.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones lands with a short head shot on the inside. Kuiper is trying to break the clinch but Jones is controlling him. Kuiper is trying to force a seperation but Jones has the dominant position. Jones tries a knee to the head but Kuiper blocks it.

Jones unloads a knee to the mid-section. Kuiper misses with some punches.
Kuiper blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Jones putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Kuiper in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Jones landing knees to the head.

Jones prevents Kuiper from breaking the clinch. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kuiper. Jones keeps control of Kuiper as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. A frustrated look appears on Kuiper's face as he tries to break the clinch. Jones lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jones lands an elbow just above Kuiper 's eye. Kuiper wants to break free but Jones has control.

Kuiper has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Jones using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

That has opened up Sam Kuiper's cut even more. Jones keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kuiper's efforts to push away. Kuiper has a couple of punches blocked by Jones.
Our sources have told us that Jones has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. Jones connects with a nasty looking knee right to Kuiper's face.
Kuiper is rocked! Jones lands a shot to the body. Kuiper is still on wobbly legs! Can Jones finish him? Jones has his opponent in a tight Thai clinch and unloads with a massive knee that drops Kuiper to the canvas! Can Kuiper beat the count? 3,4,5,6 and he's up... is he? Yes, he's up! The referee is taking a long look at him and he's waved off the fight! He didn't think Kuiper was in a fit state to continue so this fight is over! Jones is your winner!
