Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diego Lezema (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc Kerrr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lezema's entrance music is Weird Al Yankovic - Fat song. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marc Kerrr!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerrr throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lezema's waist but Lezema gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kerrr off to one side.
Kerrr looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lezema is fending him off so far but Kerrr persists. Nope, Lezema circles away and we're back to standing.
Kerrr fails to land the takedown.
Diego Lezema has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marc Kerrr.
Lezema misses with a series of wild punches.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Lezema for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Diego Lezema seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Kerrr or perhaps it was just good defense by Lezema which made him look bad.
Lezema goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Lezema closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kerrr to the mat! Kerrr manages to get full guard.

Kerrr manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lezema manages to get himself to full guard.
Lezema throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Lezema is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Kerrr wants to stand and escape but instead Lezema has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

BOOM! Kerrr connects with a massive shot to the dome!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kerrr working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lezema doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lezema manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kerrr controls Lezema momentarily but Lezema frees himself.
Kerrr lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lezema!
Lezema regains half guard.
Kerrr wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lezema keeps working.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Lezema gets back to full guard.
Kerrr throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Kerrr stands up from Lezema's guard - Kerrr perhaps looking for a knockout.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Lezema tries to break the clinch but Kerrr is controlling the position.
Lezema successfully pulls guard.
Kerrr is in close to Lezema's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Kerrr missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Kerrr gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Kerrr has his takedown stuffed
and Lezema counters with a straight right hand.
Kerrr is breathing heavily.
Lezema clinches up against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Lezema gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Lezema stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Lezema!
Lezema stuns Kerrr with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Kerrr takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Lezema.
Lezema lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Kerrr has clasped his hands together around Lezema's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

This has been an exciting period of action!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kerrr lands some shots froms side control.
Kerrr landing strikes.
Kerrr looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Kerrr works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Lezema tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kerrr wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Diego Lezema will probably get the nod.

Lezema stalks Kerrr and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kerrr's face. Kerrr staggers backwards, shaken.

Lezema swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
