The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bloodgood wants to clinch.
Hanson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bloodgood is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Bloodgood thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Hanson if he has to take too many more of those.
Hanson shoots in looking for a takedown. Bloodgood tries to sprawl out of it but Hanson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bloodgood manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hanson scores with a hook.

Hanson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Bloodgood passes Hanson's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bloodgood in particular looking to stall.
Hanson gets back to full guard.
Bloodgood sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Bloodgood postures up in Hanson's guard and throws a big left but Hanson blocks it.

Hanson tries to buck Bloodgood off but Bloodgood is having none of it.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Hanson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bloodgood gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bloodgood is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hanson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Hanson throws his legs up looking for a submission but Bloodgood uses it to pass to side control.
Hanson is trying to control Bloodgood's posture but Bloodgood avoids it.

Bloodgood decides to stand back up.
Bloodgood shoots in for a double leg but Hanson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hanson throws a hook but Bloodgood avoids it easily.
Bloodgood misses with a double jab.
Hanson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hanson throws the left hand but Bloodgood avoids the punch easily.
Bloodgood seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Hanson shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Bloodgood is backing up but Hanson catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Bloodgood covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Hanson Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
