Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Shawn Roth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chris Franco!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Ren Mimura and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franco changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Franco shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Roth's guard.

Roth is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Franco really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Roth. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Roth really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Franco wants to work for an arm triangle but Roth is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Roth has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Franco lands a nice short elbow.

Franco is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Roth is hurt! He's hurt bad - Franco fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Roth from any more punishment! Congratulations to Franco! Great finish!
