Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Otto Kekalainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen Dead & Buried as his entrance music. Justin Jones will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Otto Kekalainen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Justin Jones! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Roberts and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kekalainen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes. Jones keeps the fight on the outside. Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kekalainen swats him away and circles back towards the center. The fight stays on the outside here - Kekalainen looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kekalainen tries to keep at a distance but Jones has taken the fight into the clinch. Kekalainen breaks from the clinch.
Jones closes the distance and pushes Kekalainen back into the cage. Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kekalainen throws a low kick but Jones avoids it. Kekalainen defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jones. Kekalainen feints and as Jones raises his hands in defense, Kekalainen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Jones throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Jones being controlled here, momentarily. Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kekalainen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kekalainen looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kekalainen is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kekalainen advances position into side control! Kekalainen with the ground and pound but Jones regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Jones is trying to stand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kekalainen keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Kekalainen passes the guard and advances to mount! Kekalainen lands a nice shot to the head. Jones tries to lock up and control but Kekalainen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Kekalainen thowing shots but they're missing. Kekalainen dominating with strikes here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kekalainen throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Kekalainen landing strikes from the mount. Kekalainen looking to finish Jones with some ground and pound. This is bad for Jones! Jones really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Kekalainen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kekalainen sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Jones is squirming around, avoiding Kekalainen's attempts to control the action. Kekalainen with the ground and pound from mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kekalainen takes Jones's back, avoiding a couple of desperation strikes from the bottom.
Kekalainen has the hooks in. Jones is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Will Kekalainen go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Kekalainen is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. This has been an exciting period of action! Kekalainen has Jones flattened out and is raining down punches. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kekalainen misses with a punch to the head. Kekalainen lands a shot to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones misses with a takedown attempt - Kekalainen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jones looks to land a combination but Kekalainen avoids it well. Kekalainen swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones. Jones lands the left hand. Jones throws a right and a left that both miss. Kekalainen closes the distance and clinches. A short right hand to the side of the head by Jones. Kekalainen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kekalainen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Kekalainen is taking a breather. Jones says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Kekalainen seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kekalainen performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Kekalainen is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jones sees it coming and defends easily. Kekalainen stops Jones from getting back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kekalainen controlling from the full mount. Kekalainen punching from mount but Jones doing a good job of avoiding damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee warns Jones that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Kekalainen content just to control the position here. Kekalainen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Jones is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kekalainen lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Kekalainen sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Kekalainen jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jones manages to avoid the submission attempt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kekalainen decides to take the fight back to the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kekalainen has had enough of the clinch but Jones keeps him there for the moment. Kekalainen is trying to pull guard but Jones turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Kekalainen jumps guard and drags Jones to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Jones wants to stand but Kekalainen is controlling his posture from full guard. Kekalainen seems keen to control Jones's posture. Kekalainen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kekalainen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jones defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kekalainen has control of Jones's left arm, preventing Jones from doing any damage. Kekalainen looking to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Otto Kekalainen wasn't doing enough on the ground. Kekalainen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A head kick misses from Jones. Jones throws a sloppy head kick and Kekalainen moves out of range easily. Kekalainen has a takedown stuffed. Kekalainen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Jones lands a right hook to the body.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jones fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kekalainen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Otto Kekalainen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kekalainen swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones. Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kekalainen tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kekalainen to the ground. Kekalainen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kekalainen misses with a jab, cross combination.

Jones leaves Kekalainen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jones will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kekalainen tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance. Jones shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kekalainen defends it nicely.

Jones tries to clinch but Kekalainen moves out of range. Kekalainen closes the distance and clinches. Jones throws a knee to the head but misses.
Kekalainen has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jones avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. A short right from Jones on the inside. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Jones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kekalainen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Kekalainen seems to be looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones is staying active underneath Kekalainen, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Kekalainen thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jones's head. Kekalainen is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jones tries to roll over but Kekalainen keeps him under control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kekalainen content to control rather than advance.
And that's the end of the fight! Otto Kekalainen showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kekalainen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
