PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ramon Chen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hanzo Hasashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hasashi comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Mortal Kombat kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hanzo Hasashi!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hasashi throws a series of punches but Chen avoids them all with ease.
Hasashi scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Chen wants to break free but Hasashi has control.
Hasashi has Chen pushed against the cage.
Chen jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hasashi walks away with a smile on his face. Chen gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Chen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Chen is looking to clinch but Hasashi is avoiding it.
Chen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hasashi falls off balance throwing a combination
and Chen counters with a straight right hand.
Chen takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Hasashi ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Chen wants to clinch up but Hasashi keeps it at a distance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chen slips a jab and a cross from Hasashi.
Chen throws a push kick but Hasashi slaps the foot to one side.
Hasashi throws a series of punches but Chen moves out of range.
Hasashi bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Hasashi lands with a cross.
Chen takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

It looks like Ramon Chen has been cut.
Hanzo Hasashi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Chen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hasashi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hasashi closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Chen! Hasashi dives in looking to finish! Chen is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hanzo Hasashi!
Hanzo Hasashi really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Nippon Outfitters logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
