Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Claudio Franticelli! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Skittles McCallister! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Bart Greer and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Franticelli lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McCallister circles away quickly and effectively. Franticelli throws a shot from downtown. McCallister moves away and avoids it. Franticelli loads up on a big right hand but McCallister slips the punch. Franticelli misses with a left hand and McCallister counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Franticelli's guard now. Franticelli manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Poor strikes thrown by Franticelli there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
That's one minute gone in the round. Franticelli controlling the pace for now. Franticelli thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Franticelli with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Franticelli is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. McCallister can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
McCallister told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Franticelli throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Franticelli sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! McCallister tries to lock up and control but Franticelli gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Franticelli has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Franticelli looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Franticelli looking to ground and pound but McCallister is blocking nicely. Franticelli controlling the pace for now. Franticelli throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for McCallister because Franticelli loaded up on that one.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Franticelli controlling his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Franticelli thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Franticelli unloads with some shots from mount but McCallister bucks and avoids them well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Franticelli tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. McCallister holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Franticelli tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
McCallister wants to hold on but Franticelli pushes him away. McCallister looks winded! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Franticelli throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McCallister staying out of range there. Franticelli tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McCallister was well out of range. Poor timing from Franticelli. Franticelli drops McCallister with a big left hand and mounts him. McCallister is in big trouble!
McCallister is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Franticelli lands a big elbow - McCallister is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and McCallister is forced to tap out!
