Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roope Latvala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mao Zedong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Latvala's entrance music is Children of Bodom - Tie my rope. A fine choice. The key to victory for Roope Latvala has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zedong moves forwards but Latvala connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Latvala lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

and Latvala counters with a three punch combo that has Zedong backing up. Zedong nods at Latvala to acknowledge the strikes.

Zedong takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

and Latvala counters with a series of strikes. Zedong will be more careful next time no doubt.

Latvala stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Zedong shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Roope Latvala has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mao Zedong.
Latvala explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Latvala uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Zedong has time to react.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Zedong shoots in looking for a takedown. Latvala tries to sprawl out of it but Zedong keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Latvala manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Oooh a lovely combination from Latvala sends Zedong down but not out. Latvala dives into side control looking to finish.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Latvala in particular looking to stall.
