Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Newton Ratliff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Ettorei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Newton Ratliff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Antonio Ettorei!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ettorei throws a sloppy head kick and Ratliff moves out of range easily.
Ettorei avoids a punch combination nicely.

Ratliff on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Ettorei. Ettorei obviously looking to wear him down.
Ettorei tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ettorei lands with a kick to the temple. Ratliff shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


It looks like Newton Ratliff has been cut.
Ratliff really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ettorei can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ettorei looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Ratliff pushes past his half guard into mount!
Ratliff will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

That was a close round but I would say that Newton Ratliff will probably get the nod.

Ratliff shoots in looking for a takedown but Ettorei manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ratliff's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Ratliff jumps guard but Ettorei turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Ettorei's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ratliff takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Ratliff jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ettorei walks away with a smile on his face. Ratliff gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Ettorei escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ettorei throws a head kick that Ratliff semi-blocks.
The fighters circle, before Ettorei throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Ratliff's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Ettorei lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Antonio Ettorei!
Antonio Ettorei spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
