Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Alcano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonah Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alcano comes to the cage accompanied by Three Stars & A Sun. Jonah Hill has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Alcano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jonah Hill!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Emerson Jorge and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill tries to clinch up.
Alcano fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Some wild striking there from Hill.
Hill doesn't manage to clinch there - Alcano circles away.
Hill pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
An inside leg kick lands from Alcano.
Horrible takedown by Alcano or perhaps it was just good defense by Hill which made him look bad.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hill gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Alcano decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hill's guard.

Alcano gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Alcano.

Alcano is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hill has escaped the position, nice work there.

Alcano passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Hill!
Hill is trying to escape the mount.
Hill looks gassed!
Alcano fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Alcano is working for a guillotine from mount but Hill frees his head quite easily.
Hill is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Alcano goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Hill turns into him and now he's in Alcano's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hill tries to stand but Alcano is controlling from the bottom.

Alcano looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Hill decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Alcano decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Hill tries to get to full guard but Alcano has control of the leg.
Alcano landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Alcano working over Hill with some ground and pound. Hill looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Alcano wants to work for an arm triangle but Hill is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Alcano is looking to advance position but Hill won't allow it.
Hill tries to roll over but Alcano keeps him under control.

Alcano is looking for a kimura here.

Alcano is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hill defends it well.
Hill is trying to stand.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Alcano closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Hill manages to get back to half guard.
Hill looks like he's trying to stand up.
Alcano seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Alcano is tying to control. Hill wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Alcano is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Hill has managed to free his arm - good work.

Alcano wants to work for an arm triangle but Hill is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Hill has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Alcano is working away from the top position though.
Hill tries to get to full guard but Alcano has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alcano is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hill falls off balance throwing a combination

and Alcano decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hill's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Alcano passes Hill's left leg - he's now in half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Alcano stands up and beckons Hill to join him on the feet.
Hill throws a series of punches but Alcano moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jose Alcano dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!



Alcano bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Hill is trying to control Alcano's posture but Alcano avoids it.
Hill is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Alcano has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Alcano thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Hill throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.

Alcano is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hill is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Alcano working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Hill wants to get back to his feet but Alcano drags him back down.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hill manages to work his way to half guard, despite Alcano's best efforts.
Alcano slips a nice elbow through Hill's hands, connecting with Hill's forehead.
Hill is looking to control Alcano's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hill avoid being mounted?
Alcano passes to side control.

Alcano is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hill is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Hill gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Alcano moves to take his opponent's back.
Alcano punishes Hill with strikes from the back mount.

Alcano has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Hill is defending well but eventually Alcano manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Hill has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jose Alcano!
