Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Benito Kamelas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derrick James Magnaye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Magnaye comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Here comes the Boom kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Benito Kamelas had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.9lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kamelas throws a head kick that misses.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Magnaye is still trying to improve position.
Kamelas definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kamelas pushes Magnaye off looking to stand but Magnaye dives back in and keeps control.

We're going to have a standup here because Benito Kamelas wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Kamelas misses with a hook. Magnaye ducked under it nicely.

Magnaye swings around for an armbar but Kamelas sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Magnaye's guard.

Derrick James Magnaye showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Benito Kamelas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kamelas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kamelas smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Kamelas can't keep his opponent in guard - Magnaye advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Magnaye is trying to work for a kimura but Kamelas is defending well.

Magnaye wants to work for an arm triangle but Kamelas is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Magnaye is pressing down on Kamelas's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kamelas is holding on for now.
Magnaye works his foot free and advances to mount.

Magnaye jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Kamelas is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Kamelas and Magnaye has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Magnaye working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Magnaye has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Kamelas!
Magnaye seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Kamelas is holding on tight.

Magnaye goes for an armbar but Kamelas turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Kamelas.

Magnaye is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kamelas is aware though and is defending well.

I've got Magnaye winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
