Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Kirby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Twister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kirby comes to the cage accompanied by Forgot about dre.. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Kirby! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tony Twister! The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Darius Henderson and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kirby throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Kirby lands the left hand. Twister moves out of range of the body kick. Twister misses with a wild body shot. Kirby misses with a lunging right hand
and Twister cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Kirby tries to land a front kick but Twister steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Twister walks into a straight right hand from Kirby. Twister lands a really nice looking cross but Kirby seems unphased.
Kirby feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Twisters jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Kirby catches Twister with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Kirby throws a jab when Twister was well out of range. Kirby has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Zombie Zoo in the buildup to the fight. Kirby misses with a looping left. Twister throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kirby. Kirby swings and misses with a shot to the body and Twister counters with a left to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A clash of legs there as Twister blocks the low kick. Twister misses with a body shot
and Kirby counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kirby throws a nice looking combination but Twister bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kirby moves out of range as Twister strikes. Twister shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kirby as he avoids it easily. Kirby stalks Twister and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Twister's face. Twister staggers backwards, shaken. Kirby connects with an inside leg kick. A looping hook to the body misses from Kirby. Twister does a little dance to reset his feet. Twister has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kirby. John Kirby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A nice inside leg kick there by Kirby. That's going to slow Twister down. Twister ducks under a wild hook from Kirby. Kirby throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Twister gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Twister tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kirby defends well and Twister ends up having to push Kirby into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Twister pulls Kirby into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Kirby being controlled here momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kirby seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Twister pulls Kirby in close to prevent any damage.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A slow jab from Twister misses its intended target. Kirby takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Kirby turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kirby throws a shot to the body.
Kirby lands a nice hook to Twister's body. Twister takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Twister uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kirby. Kirby throws a shot from downtown. Twister moves away and avoids it. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Twister is defended easily by Kirby. John Kirby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Twister. Twister misses with a double jab
letting Kirby counter with a right hand. Kirby scores with a crisp jab that stopped Twister in his tracks. Twister throws a right and a left that Kirby avoids nicely. Kirby throws out a token jab with nothing on it. A left and a right from Kirby both land. Nice combination. Twister tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kirby swivels and escapes. Twister takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Twister jabbing away but nothing is landing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kirby just misses with a punch to the body.
Kirby thows a left - swing and a miss! Twister swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Twister counters with a straight right hand. A lazy left from Twister finds it's target. Nice jab there from Kirby. Twister will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Twister looks to throw the jab but Kirby is out of range. Twister throws a hook but Kirby blocks it. Twister moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kirby lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Kirby throws a hook but Twister blocks it. Twister tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kirby swivels and escapes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Kirby dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kirby fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Twister on the side of the head. Kirby lands with a hook. Twister tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Twister showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kirby.
Twister drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Twister thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Twister stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kirby swivels though and keeps the full guard. Twister trying to control but Kirby is working from the bottom. Twister looking to pass the guard. Twister passes Kirby's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Kirby knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Twister on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Twister is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kirby doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Twister. Kirby is looking to improve his position.
Twister is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Twister is looking for a kimura but Kirby is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Twister to get the leverage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Twister wants to work for an arm triangle but Kirby is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Twister is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kirby is just riding it out for now. Twister eventually gives up the hold. Twister is working for a kimura but Kirby is defending it quite comfortably.
Kirby is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Twister passes the guard and advances to mount! Twister tries to control but Kirby wriggling away. Twister fails to advance to Kirby's back. Twister is stalling here but it's allowed Kirby to get half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Twister in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Kirby tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Twister!
