Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dannie Fuentes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Mangan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mangan has chosen DRS - Mama Didn't Raise No Punks as his entrance music. Dannie Fuentes had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rick Mangan! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Fuentes. Mangan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fuentes's guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Mangan looking to sit in guard and control but Fuentes gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Mangan wants to get back to his feet but Fuentes is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Fuentes cracks Mangan with a solid left hand. Mangan is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Mangan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fuentes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fuentes wants to stand but Mangan is controlling his posture from full guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mangan can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fuentes makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Fuentes working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Mangan's head. Fuentes is looking to stand up but Mangan won't let him. Mangan wants to get back to his feet but Fuentes passes into half guard.

Fuentes looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fuentes is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mangan defends it well. Mangan is defending against the submission attempts here by Fuentes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Fuentes looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Dannie Fuentes dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Mangan feints and as Fuentes raises his hands in defense, Mangan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Fuentes lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Mangan! Fuentes wants to finish this one by submission but Mangan is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Fuentes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fuentes is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Mangan has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Mangan is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fuentes has control of Mangan's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mangan regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Mangan wants to get back to his feet.
Fuentes looking to secure an arm triangle but Mangan defends it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mangan is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Fuentes wants to finish this one by submission but Mangan is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Fuentes. Fuentes has hold of Mangan's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Mangan manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fuentes working for a guillotine from mount but Mangan is in no mood to give up. Fuentes punching from mount but Mangan doing a good job of avoiding damage. Fuentes get's back to his feet. Dannie Fuentes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Fuentes misses with a kick to the body.
Mangan shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mangan was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Mangan is breathing heavily. Fuentes is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mangan wants to take a breather but Fuentes is having none of it. Mangan wants to stand up but Fuentes manages to regain full guard. Mangan wants to get up but he can't break Fuentes's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Fuentes looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mangan trying to control the position from guard on top but Fuentes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Fuentes is looking to stand up but Mangan isn't so interested in that idea. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Dannie Fuentes will probably get the nod. That's time! Fuentes's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Fuentes gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Fuentes is looking to land body kicks. Mangan darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Dannie Fuentes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Mangan wants to stand but Fuentes has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Mangan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fuentes wants to control but Mangan is keeping busy and won't allow it. Mangan is figuring out what he wants to do next. Let's hope that Mangan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Fuentes looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mangan wants to stand up but Fuentes manages to regain full guard.

Fuentes can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mangan controls the pace. Rick Mangan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Fuentes keeping full guard, as Mangan tries to pass. Mangan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fuentes is looking for a triangle but Mangan pushes his legs off easily.
Fuentes keeping moving, preventing Mangan from controlling successfully. Fuentes is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mangan defends well. Mangan in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Dannie Fuentes is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Fuentes preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Dannie Fuentes showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fuentes, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
