The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payan comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Payan throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Barros shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Payan as he jumps to the side.
Barros slips a jab and a cross from Payan.
No joy there for Payan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Payan throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Barros on the side of the head.
Barros misses with the combination.
Payan misses with a low kick.
Payan throws a body punch but Barros moves out of range.
Payan looks to land a combination but Barros avoids it well.
Barros scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Barros thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Payan wants to get back to his feet.

Barros has hold of Payan's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Payan tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Barros cranks the arm and Payan screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Payan, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
