Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sven Aanenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gildarts Clive (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aanenson comes to the cage accompanied by Ramones - Beat On The Brat. Gildarts Clive has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aanenson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Clive to the mat! Clive manages to get full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Aanenson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Clive really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aanenson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Aanenson is stalling here. Clive is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Aanenson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Clive has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Clive connects with a leg kick. Aanenson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Clive! Aanenson is out on his feet! Clive rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Aanenson is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Aanenson is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
