Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Solomon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marlon Delim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marlon Delim is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dexter Solomon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Marlon Delim!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solomon wants to clinch but Delim slips to the side

and Delim counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Solomon is trying to pull guard but Delim has him pressed against the cage.

Delim escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Delim closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Delim lands in his opponent's guard.

Solomon throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Delim escapes and throws Solomon's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Solomon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Delim stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Solomon tries to clinch but Delim is having none of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Solomon wants to clinch but Delim slips to the side

and Delim counters by moving into the clinch.
Delim working hard to break the clinch.
Solomon has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Delim avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Delim wants to break the clinch but can't.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Delim.
Delim wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Delim looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Solomon wants to take the fight to the mat but Delim manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dexter Solomon. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Delim decides to pull guard.
Solomon throws a big elbow that misses.
Solomon throws a big right hand that misses.
Solomon loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Solomon throws a strike but Delim rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Solomon is on top in guard.
Solomon in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Delim looking for a guillotine here but Solomon defends easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Solomon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Solomon has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Delim wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Solomon working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Delim looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Solomon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Delim wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Solomon is now in half guard.
Delim makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Delim.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Delim wants to stand up but Solomon is controlling him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Delim holds on and takes a little breather.
Delim looking to hit a scissor sweep but Solomon is one step ahead there.
Solomon stops Delim from standing up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Solomon loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Delim has control of Solomon's left arm, preventing Solomon from doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marlon Delim dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Solomon tries to clinch but Delim is having none of it.

Delim darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Solomon moves into full guard.

Delim stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Delim looking to score a takedown here. Solomon is defending well but Delim drives through and ends up in Solomon's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Delim trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Solomon is working an open guard so Delim takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Delim has managed to clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Solomon has Delim pressed against the cage, preventing Delim from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Solomon tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Delim has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Solomon uses from the top position.

Delim is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Solomon defends well.

Delim bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Solomon's guard.
Delim is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Delim missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Delim gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Delim closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Delim wants to lay and pray for a moment but Solomon keeps working.
Solomon is looking to get back to full guard here but Delim has managed to pass to side control instead.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Delim decides to stand back up. Delim steps back and let's Solomon get back to his feet.
Delim fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Delim gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Solomon tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Delim smiles and moves away.
Solomon wants to clinch

and Delim holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Delim displaying some good clinch control by pressing Solomon up against the cage.

Delim has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Solomon uses from the top position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Delim has control of Solomon's left arm, preventing Solomon from doing any damage.

Marlon Delim showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Solomon moves in looking to clinch but Delim pushes him off.

Delim closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Solomon to the mat! Solomon manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Solomon has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Delim controls from within his opponent's guard.
Delim wants to control from the top but Solomon keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Delim forces his way into half guard.

Delim looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Delim decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Marlon Delim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A head kick misses from Delim.
Delim lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Solomon is looking to clinch.
Delim throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Delim closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Solomon quickly recovers to half guard.


Solomon is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Delim decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Oh Solomon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Delim lands a huge takedown. Solomon is out but the ref is slow to react and Delim lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Solomon lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:10 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marlon Delim!
Marlon Delim seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
