Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Chambers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Koroviev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George Chambers had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 207.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Igor Koroviev! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Vladimir Khabensky and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koroviev closes the distance looking to clinch and Chambers counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Koroviev feints and as Chambers raises his hands in defense, Koroviev changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Chambers is looking to stand up but Koroviev isn't so interested in that idea. Chambers is breathing heavily. Koroviev trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Koroviev passes Chambers's left leg - he's now in half guard. Chambers knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Koroviev on the ground. Chambers is trying to stand back up but Koroviev is controlling him

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Koroviev landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Koroviev is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Koroviev wants to control but Chambers is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Koroviev is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Chambers doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Koroviev. Koroviev wants to stand up but Chambers has a hold of him and won't allow it. Chambers manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Koroviev keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Koroviev's coach down at Ivan's house of pain [300$] was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Koroviev's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Koroviev is looking to take this one to the mat. Our sources have told us that Chambers has been working on his elbows in the gym.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koroviev wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Chambers is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Chambers wants to break the clinch but can't.

Chambers moves into the clinch. Chambers is trying to force a seperation but Koroviev has the dominant position. Koroviev tries to pull guard but Chambers won't allow it.

Chambers tries to break the clinch but Koroviev is controlling the position. Koroviev has Chambers pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Chambers manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Chambers works on Koroviev's body with a couple of short punches. Chambers wants to break the clinch but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round. Chambers lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Koroviev backwards. Chambers lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Chambers lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Koroviev goes for a takedown attempt but Chambers pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
George Chambers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Igor Koroviev. Chambers darts in and clinches Koroviev up against the cage. Chambers working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Chambers breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Chambers moves into range and clinches up with Koroviev.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Koroviev stalling in the clinch but Chambers improves position. Koroviev keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Chambers's efforts to push away. Koroviev is working for takedown but Chambers is calmly controlling the position for now. Chambers is trying to break the clinch but Koroviev has him pressed against the cage. A right handed body shot lands from Chambers.
Chambers is trying to break free. Chambers lands a right hand. Koroviev throws a head punch that misses. Chambers breaks from the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Chambers throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Chambers lands a jab to Koroviev's midsection. Chambers defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Koroviev. Chambers scores with a body shot.
Sloppy strikes from Chambers. Those never looked like landing. Chambers is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Chambers tries to sprawl but Koroviev drives through with a takedown into half guard. Chambers tries to kick Koroviev off but Koroviev keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Chambers is refusing to be controlled, as Koroviev sits in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Koroviev thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Koroviev trying to control the action but Chambers is working from the bottom. Koroviev missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Koroviev wants to work for an arm triangle but Chambers is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Chambers pushes Koroviev off looking to stand but Koroviev dives back in and keeps control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Chambers keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Koroviev moves into full mount! Chambers won't be happy about that! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Koroviev thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Koroviev tries to clinch up. Chambers forces Koroviev back against the cage and clinches. Koroviev turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Koroviev manages to end up in side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chambers is looking to get back to his feet here but Koroviev is keeping cool and he's managed to take Chambers's back. Chambers defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
A lull in the action here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Chambers has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koroviev cracks Chambers with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Chambers from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Koroviev has managed to slip his arm under Chambers's chin. This could be all over... yep, Chambers is tapping out! Submission win for Koroviev.
