Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bob Koff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirt McGirk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGirk has chosen This Is Who I Am as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bob Koff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dirt McGirk!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Koff is defended easily by McGirk.
McGirk throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McGirk scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
A jab from McGirk finds it's way through Koff's defenses.
Koff dives in and grabs McGirk's left leg, looking for a takedown. McGirk pushes down on Koff's head and hops out.
Koff fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. McGirk looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Nice straight punches there by McGirk. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of McGirk.
McGirk fails in his attempt to clinch.
Koff shoots in for a takedown but McGirk shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Koff. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Koff wants to clinch.

Koff drives through with a takedown into McGirk's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
McGirk avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Koff throws an elbow that misses. McGirk uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Koff's guard. Nice move by McGirk!
McGirk trying to stand up but can't free himself from Koff's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McGirk wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Koff's closed guard. He's half up but Koff has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Koff pivots and extends the arm, McGirk falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Koff! Well done that man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Bob Koff!
A relieved looking Bob Koff thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
