Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mano Thao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Cachacinha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thao comes to the cage accompanied by Sabotage by Beastie Boys. Mano Thao has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Leandro Rodrigues and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thao works over Cachacinha's head and body with a nice combination.
Thao clinches.
Thao is looking to break free of the clinch but Cachacinha has double underhooks.
Thao prevents a takedown attempt there.

Thao breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cachacinha tries to clinch but Thao is having none of it.
Thao throws a right and a left that Cachacinha avoids nicely.
Thao lands a nice leg kick that just misses Cachacinha's sensitive parts.
A jab from Thao finds it's way through Cachacinha's defenses.
Thao throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Cachacinha's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Thao leaves Cachacinha with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Cachacinha shoots in for a takedown but Thao shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mano Thao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jorge Cachacinha.
Thao moves into range and connects with a jab.
Thao scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Thao throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Thao!
Thao feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Cachacinha sprawling to the canvas! Cachacinha rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Thao finish him?!
Cachacinha is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Thao has closed the distance and engaged Cachacinha in a clinch.
Cachacinha is still on wobbly legs! Can Thao finish him?
Thao leaning his opponent against the cage.
Thao breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mano Thao is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Thao gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Cachacinha seems to have recovered his senses.
Cachacinha drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Thao gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Thao has had enough of the clinch but Cachacinha keeps him there for the moment.
Thao breaks the clinch.
Cachacinha fails in his attempt to clinch.
Thao dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Cachacinha. That did some damage!
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Thao! Cachacinha is out on his feet! Thao rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Cachacinha is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Cachacinha is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mano Thao!
